Complimentary Consultations
Many parents will ask us, “When should my child see an orthodontist?” The answer is that it depends on how the child’s bite is developing. At each and every routine hygiene visit, our pediatric specialists will measure and record different aspects of the bite. For most patients, we recommend an orthodontic consultation around age 9 or 10. We may recommend it earlier if there is something in your child’s bite that may benefit from early correction. During your complimentary consultation, our orthodontic specialist will meet you and your child. They will discuss with you how your child’s bite is developing and whether they would benefit from orthodontic treatment. They will explain the different treatment approaches for correction and answer any questions you or your child may have.

Space Management
and Bite Correction
Our orthodontist will provide orthodontic treatment as early as age 6 depending on the needs of your child. Some orthodontic problems – when corrected early have better outcomes. Some common appliances used in younger patients include habit appliances to eliminate thumb sucking and expanders to help make more space for the developing teeth.
Braces
We currently offer traditional (metal) as well as white (ceramic) braces for children, teens, and adults. During your consultation, we can review treatment options with you and help you choose the best option to address your specific needs.

Invisalign
Our orthodontic team offers Invisalign (clear aligner therapy) as an alternative to braces and other appliances. During your consultation we will review the option of Invisalign if it is suitable for your child’s treatment. Because the trays are removable, they may be more convenient for eating and tooth brushing.
