MEET DR. SURAJ CHAVDA

Dr. Suraj Chavda was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree at the University of Alberta in 2009. He then completed his Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy & Management in 2017 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2019 at the University of Alberta. His interest in caring for medically complex patients motivated him to complete a 1 year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Vancouver General Hospital and the University of British Columbia. Thereafter, he worked as a rural general dentist in Ponoka, Alberta for 2 years. He chose to go back to school to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health in Rochester, New York. He also completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship at the University of Rochester where he learned about advocacy for those with developmental disabilities.
